Elsie Bures Kana Elsie Bures Kana, 51, of Bay City died Aug. 10 in Matagorda General Hospital. She was born in Midfield, Feb. 24, 1924 and was a member of the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters of America, Holy Cross Altar Society and KJZT Society. Survivors include; widower, Edwin J. Kana of Bay City; mother Mrs. Theresa B. Krenek of Bay City; sons Michael J. Kana of Houston and Mark A. Kana of Bay City; daughter, Annette K. Harryman of Alvin; sister, Eleanor B. Knebel of Bay City; step-sisters, Mrs. Ernestine Dablegott of Markham and Mrs. Masie Krdstedt of El Campo; grandchildren, Jay and Nicole Harryman of Alvin. Funeral service will be held at the Holy Cross Catholic Church, Tuesday, Aug. 12 at 10 a. m. with Rev. Charles Soniner officiating. Interment service will be held in the St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. A Rosary service will be held tonight at 7:30 p. m. at the Bay City Funeral Home Chapel and following the Parish Rosary the Catholic Daughters and the KJCT Society will hold a Rosary service.
