Bio
Funeral services for Walter Skutca Sr., 81, of Blessing will be held 10 a. m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Blessing with the Rev. Peter Higgins officiating. Burial will follow at St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Blessing. Mr. Skutca was born Sept. 11, 1909, in El Campo and died March 26, 1991, at Colonial Bell Nursing Home in Bellville. He was a resident of Blessing since 1927 and has lived in Bellville for the past four years. He was a member of the Catholic church. He is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Patricia and Tom Wallace of Bellville and JoLynette and Douglas Kubecka of Deutschburg; a son and daughter-in-law, Waller L. and Evelyn Skutca Jr. of Markham; a sister, Evelyn Krpec of El Campo; and six grandchildren, David and Patrick Wallace of Bellville, Craig and Shana Skutca of Markham and Descha and Cassie Kubecka of Deutschburg. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Mae Skutca, who died Nov. 1, 1985. Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.
