1930 © The Madison News; Madison, Nebraska; Thursday, February 27, 1930, page 1 GLENN REIGLE IS TAKEN BY DEATH Young Farmer Dies at the Hospital at Norfolk; Funeral Saturday Glenn Reigle , son of Mr. and Mrs. John Reigle passed away at the Lutheran hospital at Norfolk Wednesday afternoon, February 26, after a lingering illness of several weeks. He was born December 7, 1900 in Fairview precinct at which place he grew to manhood. On March 5, 1925, he was united in marriage to Miss Maude Marie Jackson. For the past five years they have made their home in Schoolcraft precinct. Their home was bless with one child, Ema Jean age three years. For the past year, he had been failing in health and the last few weeks had been confined to his bed. All that loving hands and medical skill could do was of no avail and he departed this life at the age of 29 years, 2 months and 19 days. Glenn was always a loving father and faithful husband, loved and respected by all who knew him. He was a faithful member of the Fairview Methodist church and Epworth League. Those left to mourn his loss are his beloved wife and daughter, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Reigle, five brothers, Lyle, Charles, William, Milton and Elmer; three sisters, Mrs. Guy Sherlock, Pearl and Marjorie, all of Madison; also numerous other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon at 1:30 from the home and at 2:00 from the Fairview church. Reverend Hassell will be in charge of the services. Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep From which none ever wakes to weep. A calm and undisturbed repose Unbroken by the last of foes.
