Reigle Rites Held Today At the Trinity Methodist Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 2:30 at the Trinity Methodist church for John C. Reigle, who died at his home here on September 6. He had been in failing health for two years and he underwent a major operation in June. He was taken seriously ill a week ago. John Centenial Reigle was born on a farm in Fairview precinct on October 31, 1876, the son of Wesley and Lavina Reigle. With the exception of the past five years when he made his home in Madison, he spent all of his life in the Fairview community. On March 21, 1900 [1901] he was united in marriage to Susan Busteed and to this union six sons and three daughters were born. He was a member of the Fairview Methodist church and served on the Board of Trustees and Board of Stewards. On moving to Madison he transferred his membership to the Trinity Methodist, and attended its services as long as his health permitted. Survivors include: His wife, Susan; 5 sons, Lyal of Albion, Nebraska; Charles of Newman Grove, Nebraska, William of Hollywood, California, Milton and Elmer, both of Madison; 3 daughters, Mrs. Lillian Sherlock of Los Angeles, California, Mrs. Pearl Osborn of Madison and Mrs. Marjorie Prauner of Battle Creek, Nebraska; 2 sisters, Mrs. Rose Robbins of Madison and Mrs. Ellen Anding of Albion; 1 brother, Thomas of Hemingford, Nebraska and 15 grandchildren. John joins those that have passed of his oldest son, Glen; his parents; one brother and one sister. Rev. John E. Stayton was in charge of the services and interment was in Fairview cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were: Joe Reeves, Frank Scheer, John Reeves, George Feiling, Fred Renner and Paul Renner.
