Third wife of Walter Allen O'Briant . Hazel O'Briant, 83, of Bay City, died April 5, 2001 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. She was born January 29, 1918 in Bay City, Texas to the late Elbert J. and Velma Havill Keith. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Markham, a resident of Bay City the past 7 years, and a former longtime resident of Markham. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Earnest and Sharon Crouch of Van Vleck; stepson, Allen O'Briant and wife Sherry of Beaumont, Texas; sisters, Juanita Kellum of League City, Esther Arriola of Texas City, Jancie Mize of Cleveland, Texas, Shirley Moffett of Cleveland, Texas and Loretta Watson of Conroe, Texas; brother, E. J. Keith of Cleveland, Texas; sister-in-law, Helen Keith of Corpus Christi, Texas; two grandchildren, Larry and Thomas Crouch; three step grandchildren; Becky, Cindy, and Tracy O'Briant. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter O'Briant, sisters, Wanda Nell Lee and Edith Williams, brothers, Wayne and Troy Keith and by grandson Michael Crouch. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, April 8, 2001, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Ramsey officiating. Interment will be at Hawley Cemetery. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros.
