Bio

Funeral services for Edith Williams, 73, of Markham, will be held 2 p. m. Sunday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel with the Reverends Howard Harper and Joe Ramsey officiating. Burial will be at Hawley Cemetery in Blessing. Mrs. Williams was born March 24, 1920 in Matagorda County and died April 16, 1993 at her home. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Markham. Mrs. Williams was a former resident of Houston who had lived in Markham for 17 years. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry L. and Janet Simmons of Riverside, Calif.; six sisters, Hazel O'Briant of Van Vleck, Juanita Kellum and Esther Abdo of Santa Fe, Texas, Loretta Watson of Conroe, Shirley Moffett and Janice Mize of Cleveland, Texas; two brothers, Wayne Keith of Corpus Christi and E. J. Keith of Dayton, Texas; Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home in Bay City. The Daily Tribune , April 17, 1993
