DIANA - Services for Addie Zell Butler Martin, 88, of Diana, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 26, 2008, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home Chapel in Diana, with the Reverend Gary May and the Reverend David Massey officiating. Interment will follow in Mattox Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Mrs. Martin passed away on January 23, 2008, after a long illness. She was born December 12, 1919, in Murchison, to Zell and Bessie Butler. She graduated from New Diana School in 1938. Addie Zell married Chester Lee Martin Sr. on October 6, 1941, and together, they celebrated 47 years of marriage until his death in 1989. She retired from the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier in 1979. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Jason Scott Martin in 1988; and a half-brother, Al McLeod. Survivors include her son, Chester Lee Martin Jr. and wife, Martha of Diana; grandson, Stephen Craig Martin of Diana; great-grandchildren, Stephen Scott Martin and Tarynn Elizabeth Metcalf of Gladewater; and numerous nieces and nephews.
