Chester was the son of Cleveland H. and Mary Dennie Martin. He had 5 brothers and 1 sister. Chester married Addie Zell Butler on Oct. 6, 1941. They had one son, Chester Lee Martin, Jr. He loved being Papa to his grandsons, Craig and Jason . He was a lifelong resident of Upshur County and a deacon at First Baptist Church of Diana. Chester was a kind and thoughtful man.
