Patricia McGinty Deering Robert Massie Funeral Home Posted online on July 08, 2022 Published in San Angelo Standard-Times Patricia Rae McGinty Deering, 81, left this earth on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, in San Angelo, Texas. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, July 15th, at Robert Massie Riverside Chapel. Arrangements are under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home. Pat Deering was born July 22, 1940, to Walter Raymond McGinty and Hulda Musil McGinty, the oldest of 6 children. She was a lifelong resident of San Angelo. Pat was a 1958 graduate of Lake View High School, and she worked for Ethicon for over 32 years, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed bowling and was a league bowler for many years. Pat loved to cook, barbeque, and entertain her family and friends. Her holiday meals and family get-togethers were some of her most enjoyable times. She loved to make snacks for her family's Ladies' Bible Study group. She enjoyed cooking for others and sending care packages to her loved ones and friends. She cherished every card and note that was ever given to her and kept them all. Pat was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Cathy McGinty Lowry and Janis McGinty Logsdon. Survivors include a daughter, Kelley Cooper and Ron Cerreta, and a son, Casey Deering and wife, Lynn, all of San Angelo; three sisters, Geri Howell and Kim Smith of San Angelo and Judy Ward of Houston; two brothers, Ray McGinty of Lubbock and Tim McGinty of Denton; four grandchildren, Misty Rogers and husband, David, Crystal Lucy and husband, Blake, Cori Deering, and Cole Deering and wife, Margaret; and five great-grandchildren: Clayton, Dalton, Addison, Sophie, and Asher. Mom, your quiet strength will never be forgotten. Your feisty spirit will be carried on by your family until we meet again.
