George L. Drummond, of Columbus, died Monday, August 30, 2021 at Genoa Long Term Care. A Celebration of George's Life will be held on Tuesday, September 7 from 5-8 pm at the Columbus American Legion. George L. Drummond was born January 3, 1942 in Columbus to Raymond Sr. and Mabel (Vincent) Drummond. He attended school in Columbus. George served in the US Navy from 1959-1962. After returning from the service he attended school at Platte college. George was the assistant engineer for the City of Columbus for many years. He was a lifelong member of the NRA and the Platte County Rifle Club. George also liked to hunt and fish, hobbies that he enjoyed teaching to others.
