Big Spring Herald Big Spring, Texas Sunday, August 3, 1941, page seven Odessa Man Expires Here Lloyd K. Hightower, 48, Odessa oil well supply dealer, died here Sunday of a heart attack. He succumbed at the home of his brother-in-law, Gordon Phillips, at 9:30 p. m. Sunday, shortly after he was seized by an attack through to have been produced by lifting a rotary drill bit into a car. The body was taken overland in an Eberley coach at noon Monday to Mineral Wells, home of his parents. Arrangements, however, were pending. Hightower was born April 25, 1893 at Milsap, Tex., had been in the oil business for many years and was well known in this area. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. L. K. Hightower, Austin; his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. I. E. Hightower, Mineral Wells; two daughters, Mrs. W. E. Bevens, Corpus Christi, and Frances Ann Hightower, Austin; four brothers, W. L., I. D., Willard and Warren Hightower, all of Fort Worth; and four sisters, Mrs. Tom Martin, McKinney, Mrs. Tom Harmon, Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. Ward Luck, Denton, and Mrs. Fleet McDaniel, Ferris. ********** Fort Worth Star-Telegram Fort Worth, Texas Wednesday, August 6, 1941, page 2 Funeral at Mineral Wells Today for Lloyd K. Hightower Funeral services for Lloyd K. Hightower, 48, of Seminole, brother of four Fort Worth residents, will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Methodist Church in Mineral Wells. Burial will be at 5 p.m. Wednesday in Garden of Memories, Dallas. Mr. Hightower, in the oil well supply business, died of a heart attack Sunday in Big Spring. ********** Wednesday, August 6, 1941, page 19 LLOYD K. HIGHTOWER. MINERAL WELLS, Aug. 6. - The funeral of Lloyd K. Hightower, 48, oil well supply dealer of Seminole, who died after a heart attack Sunday in Big spring, was conducted here at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Dallas. Four brothers, Doyle, W. L., Willard and Warren Hightower, are residents of Fort Worth. Other survivors include the widow and two daughters, Jacqueline and Frances Ann Hightower of Austin; parents, Rev. and Mrs. I. E. Hightower, Mineral Wells and four sisters, Mrs. T. C. Martin, McKinney; Mrs. Fleet McDaniel, Ferris; Mrs. T. B. Harmon, Los Angeles, and Mrs. Ward Lusk, Denton.
