Anna J. Rerucha DAVID CITY -- Anna J. Rerucha, 89, of David City, died, Thursday, Jan. 17, 2008, at Butler County Health Care Center in David City. Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary?s Catholic Church in David City. Burial will be at St. Anthony's Cemetery in Bruno. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Monday at Chermok Funeral Home and after 6 p.m. at the church followed by a 7 p.m. PCCW rosary. Ms. Rurucha was born in Appleton on April 11, 1918, to Adolph and Antonia (Svoboda) Samek. She graduated from Octavia High School in 1936 and attended two years of college at Peru State. She taught school in the Appleton area for 10 years and then farmed with her husband near Abie until they moved to David City in 1985. She married John J. Rerucha on Sept. 14, 1946, at Assumption Church in Appleton. She was a member of St. Mary?s Church, St. Mary?s PCCW and past member of Brainard Legion Auxiliary. She loved gardening, flowers, raising houseplants, polka music, dancing and traveling. Survivors include her husband, John of David City; brothers, Anton L. (Rose) Samek and Fred S. Samek, both of David City; sisters-in-law, Dolores Roh of Schuyler, and Veronica Rerucha of Bruno; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bill Samek; and sisters, Rose Kozisek and Martha Piitz.
