Bio

Son of Elisha Bushnell and Minerva Garner, served in Co. F., 36th Regiment, Mississippi Infantry per Confederate Veteran Pension Application No. 13726 The War Department's report attached to the application states "That one William Garner (name not found as William H. Garner) , private, Company F, 36th Mississippi Infantry, Confederate States of Army, was enrolled March 5, 1862. On a roll of the company for September and October, 1862, last which his name appears, he is reported absent, wounded and furloughed home. No later record of him has been found."
