Rita Elaine Viera, 81, of Montgomery, TX, passed from this life on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Rita was a graduate of Rosepine High School. She loved gardening, birdwatching, playing golf. She was also an amazing artist. She was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Raymond V. Grant, II and Sally of Allen, TX; daughter, Tanya Elaine Grant Stinson of Allen, TX; stepson, Mark Viera and Nicole of New Bedford, MA; grandchildren, Raymond Grant, III, Nichole Grant, Heather Grant, Ryder Grant, Kaitlyn Rose, Trevor Rose, Carley Stinson; great grandchild, Jaxton Grant and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Vincent Grant and John Viera, Jr.; son, Rodney Christopher Grant; father, Elvyn Augusta Simmons; mother, Juanita Harriet Dunwoody; grandson, Brandon Grant; brother, Donald Simmons and George Simmons; sisters, Bernice Nolde, Maurie Hawkins, Louise Johnston, Maurine Moses, Glenda Hunt and Nina Fodell; grandfathers, Henry Jackson (Jack) Simmons and Jessie Joseph Dunwoody; grandmothers, Ida D. Bailey and Mary Serena Rives.
