Aransas Pass, Texas Billy Joe Hurta, 86 passed away April 24, 2022. He was born June 9, 1935 in Midfield, Texas to Joe Hurta and Dora Mae Hart Hurta. He was a Little League umpire, retired from Reynolds Metals Aluminum Company, enjoyed fishing, built and owned shrimp boats, and he also enjoyed fixing things. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Dana K. Hurta and son, Joel D. Hurta. Billy Joe leaves behind to cherish his memory, his children, David Hurta (Lesley), Cindy H. Jimenez (Joe); brother, Leroy Hurta (Charlene); sisters, Kathy Trumpy (Bill), Georgia Moutash (Billy); three grandchildren, Justin Hurta, Brandon Hurta, William Jimenez and numerous great grandchildren.
