Bio

Lone Grove - Funeral Services for Mr. Doyale Ivan Pinson, 92, of Ardmore are scheduled at the Lone Grove First Baptist Church. Interment will follow at the Lone Grove West Memorial Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson. Doyale was born on April 29, 1929 at Wanette, OK to the late Mr. Marland A. Pinson and Mrs. Lula Ethel (Dejarnette) Pinson. He departed this life on Friday, March 25, 2022 at his home in Ardmore. Doyale graduated from high school at Wanette and then attended college at Murray State. He furthered his education at Oklahoma State University, where he received his Masters Degree. Doyale was a veteran of the United States Army, serving honorably mostly in Alaska constructing airstrips. Doyale married the former Myrtle E. Henley on Aug. 29, 1980 at the Enon Association with Tom Cotton officiating. They made their home in Lone Grove, just recently moving to Ardmore. Doyale was employed for the Bureau of Indian Affairs, retiring in 1986. Doyale served at Lone Grove First Baptist Church as a member and treasurer for many years. Doyale also served as a Sunday School teacher for many years and shared scripture to nursing homes residents throughout the area. He loved to farm and always build things. His love for his children, and grandchildren was always abundant. Preceding him in death are his parents; sisters, Ola Statzer and Doris Franklin; brother, Marion Pinson and daughter, Dianne Blansett.
