Removed from Hutchinson Cemetery to Oak Ridge Cemetery in May 1873 MOORE, JOHN B., was born July 11, 1803, in Warren county, N. J. Rachel L. McCarty was born Feb. 7, 1812, in Morris county, N. J. They were married in the latter county, Dec. 8, 1831, and had four children there. They moved to Sangamon county, Ill., arriving July 28, 1838, in what is now Gardner township, where one child was born. Of the five children--ELIJAH V.,MOSES H., DELIA V.(m. Isaac Gregory),JOHN B., JULIA A.(m. William H. Miller). John B. Moore, Sr., died Aug. 18, 1839, in Sangamon county, and his widow married Oct. 25, 1842, to Josiah Broadwell.
