Bio

Billy Joe Mayfield, aged 85, passed away on December 23rd, 2021 in Georgetown, Texas. He was born on June 15th, 1936 to Kenneth Mayfield and Asha McLeod. He graduated from Austin High School and served in the United States Air Force. He married Alice Vrba on September 20th, 1958 in Tours, Texas. He had a lifelong love of music and was active for years in the Round Rock Community Choir. He is preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children Alice Vrba Mayfield, daughters Missy Sikkema and Sharri Mayfield, and granddaughter Jamie Baird. He is survived by his wife Mary; children Lori Hughes, Amy and Peter La Fuente, and Billy Wayne and Amy Mayfield; grandchildren Ryan and Tammy Sikkema, Wesley and Callie Sikkema, Kristin and Zach Havens, Kevin Sikkema, Allison Mayfield and David Visi, Taylor and Harrison Johnson, Alex and CiCi La Fuente; great-grandchildren Kaylee Sikkema, Hadleigh Havens, Sophia Havens, Olivia Havens, Riley Sikkema, James Sikkema, and Thomas Sikkema; and brothers Larry and James Mayfield.
