Bio
Alice Mayfield passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 29, 2007 after a long illness. She was born in Tours, Texas on April 10, 1934. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Olga Vrba, daughter, Sharri Mayfield, granddaughter Jamie Baird, and brother Dan Vrba. She is survived by her husband of 49 years Bill Mayfield, daughters, Missy Sikkema and husband Willy, Lori Hughes, Amy LaFuente and husband Peter, and son Wayne and wife Michelle. Grandchildren, Ryan and wife Tammy Sikkema, Wes Sikkema, Kristen Sikkema, Kevin Sikkema, Allison Mayfield, Taylor LaFuente, Alex LaFuente, and one great-granddaughter, Kaylee Sikkema, sisters-in-law, Dorene and husband Ernie and Sally Vrba. Our heartfelt thanks to the staff of the Alzheimer's unit at Wesleyan Nursing Home in Georgetown, Texas for their dedication and love for all the residents. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, August 2, 2007 at Beck Funeral Home, 1700 E. Whitestone, Cedar Park, Tx.
