Graveside services for Marie Elizabeth Thacker, 83 of Tyler, will be held Monday, March 14th, 2:00 pm at Cathedral in the Pines Cemetery, under the direction of Lloyd James Funeral Home. Marie passed away March 4, 2022 in Tyler. She was born August 15, 1938 in Brazos County to the late Albin F. and Elizabeth Helen Simecek Quitta. Marie was a member of the Saint Pauls Catholic Church. She worked in Dallas for many years as a book keeper, and retired from the Smith County Sheriff's Office. She loved her family and was a devout Catholic. She also loved the food channel and DIY network. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Thacker; son, Wayne Cook; brother, Joseph Quitta and sister, Louise Bailey. She is survived by her loving family, including her daughters, her son, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Obituary submitted by Debbie H. FAG # 46560231
