Bio

Ella Nunn Ford Watt Petersen, of North Bend, was born in Walthill, NE on December 17, 1930 to Lonnie and Artie Lee Nunn in the home. Ella was the tenth out of twelve children to be born of her parents. Ella attended school in Walthill. She married Walter "Bud" Ford, Jr. on September 20, 1948. To this union, she was blessed with her four children. She and her family moved to North Bend from Uhling in 1960. During this time Ella worked various jobs including a floor lady at Pendleton Woolen Mills in Fremont. She married Vernon Watt on February 13, 1971. They built a house on the north edge of North Bend and labeled it "Green Acres". Years after Vern passed away, she married Orvil Petersen on February 10, 2004. She held jobs at the North Bend Mini Mart and Hamilton's Total Stop. She belongs to St. Peter's Lutheran Church of North Bend. Her hobbies included sewing, gardening, playing bridge at the senior center, gambling, and being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Lonnie (Linda) Ford of Pender, Lawrence Ford of North Bend, Linda (Jim) Divis of Colon and Leander Ford of North Bend; nine granddaughters, one grandson, 32 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents Lonnie and Artie Lee Nunn, her spouses, one infant son, Robert Ford, one grandson, Sgt. Joshua Ford, her daughter-in-law, Maggie Ford, and all of her brothers and sisters. Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Friday, March 4, 2022 at St. Peter Lutheran Church in North Bend, NE. The Rev. Lawson Short will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday, March 3, 2022 from 6 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Moser Memorial Chapel in North Bend, NE. Burial will take place at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE.
