On the 1860 census Leonora is listed as "Venora Crowder" and is living in Heaths Creek, Pettis, Missouri with her parents R. M. and Angeline Crowder, brothers William and Isaac, and sister Mary. She married Moses H. Moore on February 24, 1870 in Sangamon Co., Illinois. On the 1870 census, "Catharine Moore" lived in Ball, Sangamon, Illinois with husband Moses. On the 1880 census, "Catharine Moor" lived in Gardner, Sangamon, Illinois with husband Moses, daughters Annie E. (8), Mary (5), Louella (3), and Moses's stepfather Josiah Broadwell (84). On the 1900 census, "Cathrine" Moore lived in Collin Co., Texas, but was born in October, 1853 in Missouri. Also in the home with her were her husband Moses H. Moore (64), son John R. (13), and daughter Laura (11). On the 1910 census "Lenora" Moore is widowed and living in McKinney, Collin Co., Texas with son Johnie (23) and granddaughter Louella Ellenburg (6). In 1920, the Ellenburg family is living on McKinney and Milwood Road, perhaps on the very farm where Leulla was living with her grandmother in 1910.
