"Rial M. (Crowder), born April 11, 1821 (1825?), in Greene county, Ky., brought up in Sangamon county (Illinois), was married in Missouri to Angeline Scott. They have seven children. Their daughter, Lenora, married Moses H. Moore. The other six children, William A., Mary J., Isaac M., Alzira M., Laura A., and Daisy L., reside with their parents near McKinney, Collin county, Texas." - Excerpt from the listing of the children of Reuben Crowder and Nancy Michael in Early Settlers of Sangamon County , 1876, by John Carroll Power. Reuben was a son of Philip Crowder, Revolutionary War Veteran.
