Bio

Martha A. Pieklo BOLIVAR - Martha A. Pieklo, 81, of 75 Kincaid St., and a former Salamanca resident, passed away on Saturday (Jan. 22, 2022) at home, following a lengthy illness. Born on Nov. 25, 1940, in Olean, she was the daughter of Oran and Laura Iva Strong Walters. Martha married John F. McLaughlin Jr. in Salamanca. Mr. McLaughlin preceded her in death 1979. Later Martha married Joseph W. Pieklo, who preceded her in death in 2013. While living in Salamanca, Martha enjoyed working out with friends. She also had great times visiting children and grandchildren, and traveling. Surviving are four children, Terrie (Bill) Frazier of Salamanca, Cathy (Richard Kerr) Skiver of Westfield, Pa., John (Jody) McLaughlin of Bolivar and Tammy (John) Lichy of Salamanca; 14 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild; five step-children, Bob, Janet, Sharon, Mary and Barb; a son-in-law, James Geddes of Onaville. She was preceded in death by two children, Sherrie Geddes and Toni McLaughlin; four brothers, Paul, Jack, Hector and Bob Walter; two sisters, Hazel and Frances. There will be no prior visitation. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Burial in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca. Memorials to Home Care & Hospice, 194 N.
