Alfred Hob 'Red' Ford (October 22, 1901 ~ November 03, 1968) 22 October 1901 – 3 November 1968 Burial was Tuesday, November 05, 1968. [Estimated Age at Death: 67 years] *** Alfred Ford GALENA, Kan. - Alfred H. Ford , 67 years old, 1103 Amherst street, died at 5 o'clock Sunday morning at Oak Hill hospital in Joplin where he had been a patient for a day. He had been ill four years. Born October 22, 1901, in Ponca City, Okla., Mr. Ford had lived in this area most of his life. He was a retired miner. He was a member of the Presbyterian church. Surviving are two sons, Jack Ford, Galena, and Bill Ford, Milwaukeee, (sic) Wis.: five daughters, Mrs. Marjorie Watkins and Mrs. Helen Hudson, both of Galena, Mrs. Allyne Cheek, Dallas, Tex., Mrs. Fern Morey, Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Louise Alexander, Colorado Springs, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. Grace Robinson, Los Alamitos, Calif.; 25 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon in the Derfelt chapel. Elder Earnest Watson will officiate. Burial will be in Hill Crest cemetery. Pallbearers will be Fred Dugan, Tom Ford, George Shallenburger, Rex Ganby [Gandy], Jack Smallwood and John Ford.
