Bio

Norma Wolf, 86, of Creston, died Saturday, May 23, 2015 at the Greater Regional Medical Center in Creston. Celebration of Life Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Orient United Methodist Church in Orient. Pastor Cathy Nutting will officiate. Burial will be at Orient Cemetery, north of Orient. Open visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Powers Funeral Home in Creston. Memorials may be directed to Homestead Assisted Living of Creston or Crest Haven Care Centre. Norma Faye (Munyon) Wolf, daughter of James Munyon and Ella Fay (Woods) Munyon, was born on March 24, 1929 at Grand River, Iowa. She graduated from Grand River High School in 1946. She went on to be trained as a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked in Colorado, Osceola and later in Creston. On July 6, 1957, Norma married Clarence "Buzz" Wolf in Kent, Iowa. They settled in Creston, where Norma worked in OB at the Greater Community Hospital in Creston. Norma went on to work at the Creston Manor for 20 years. Norma was a member of Crest Baptist Church and the Eagles Auxiliary, both of Creston. Norma was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Buzz Wolf in 2006, two brothers, Dennis and Dale Munyon, and a sister, Bonnie Schrodt.
