Irene I. Myers, the daughter of Edward and Edna (Ankney) Goodwin, was born at Grand Island, Nebraska, on September 20, 1936, and died at Lincoln, Nebraska, on December 27, 1992, at the age of 56 years, 3 months, and 7 days. She grew up and received her education in Grand Island. On April 23, 1954, she was united in marriage to Richard H. Myers, in Grand Island. They made their home in Phillips, Nebraska. She was preceded in death by her parents, and 2 brothers, Edward Jr., and Joseph Goodwin. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her husband, Richard of Phillips; 4 sons, Richard, Jr., of Omaha, Robert of Morocco, Indiana, Ronald of Grand Island, and Randy of Phillips; one brother, Thomas Goodwin of Phillips; 5 sisters, Bonnie Rouse of Gibbon, Barbara Rodrigez of Shelton, Edna Blum and Kathy Verplank both of Aurora, and Teresea Warford of Washington State, and 7 grandchildren.
