Joseph Michael Goodwin, six-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward J. Goodwin, 916 North Broadwell, died early this morning at a local hospital. He had been in poor health for a year and had been confined to the hospital for the last two weeks. Joseph Goodwin was born Aug 3, 1942, in Grand Island. He attended the kindergarten class at Jefferson school until he was taken ill. He was baptized in the Catholic Church. Surviving; in addition to his parents are a brother, Edward Goodwin; four sisters, Cecelia, Irene, Barbara and Edna Goodwin; and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Goodwin, Cairo, and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Ackney, Grand Island. Arrangements for the funeral services await word from relatives. The Livingston-Sondermann funeral home is in charge of arrangements. Joseph Goodwin's Rites Held Today Funeral services for Joseph Goodwin, six-year-year old son of Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Goodwin, were held this morning in St. Mary's Cathedral. The Rev. Leo F. Keating, pastor, was the celebrant of the Mass of the Angels. The children's choir assisted in the mass. Burial was in Grand Island cemetery.
