Without David Luttrell's records, I might not have known what happened to Dee and Sarah. David Luttrell records say that Dee died from influenza, and that John and Sarah Dawson Luttrell are both buried at the Mobeetie Cemetery,Mobeetie, TX.(He has her as Sarah Henryetta, but our records PER NORA BRICKEY IS Sarah HARRIET)I don't know which is correct. Dee designed (about 1912) and held copyright on a bridge which was sold for $700, and the funds were used to buy the land in TX. His death cert. does not list the "Christopher Columbus" listed in some records, .it is just John D. and he was a "filling station keeper" AND GROCER, WORKING ON HIS OWN IN MOBEETIE, TEXAS. Dee and Sarah never had any children together. I believe that Dee was married previously and may have had children, but I can't find a record of them. First wife was Nancy Barrett. Parents were: Newton C. and Juliana (Howard) Luttrell. I think these are David Luttrell's records. Their Children as I have them listed are: George William, Sarah Jane, James B., JOHN DEE, Dora Ann, Newton Larkin "Lark", Hiram H., Jake Pruitt, Archie, Homer and Lee. Several of these children married into the Roberts family.
