Mr. Darrell Merchant April 18, 1936 - December 12, 2018 Darrell Merchant, age 82, a native of Baldwin County, Alabama, and a resident of Elsanor, Alabama passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018. Mr. Merchant was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, fishing, and horseback riding. Darrell enjoyed anything outside. He was preceded by his parents Sanger and Ruby Merchant, brother, Dennis Merchant, and son, Jeff Day. Mr. Merchant is survived by his wife, Carol White Merchant; five daughters, Jeannie Jones, Rhonda Musgrove, Christine (Andy) Schaff, Amanda Merchant, Janelle (Robert) Young; two sons, Jonathan Merchant, Jason Day; five brothers, Wayne Merchant, Sanger Merchant, Gary Merchant, Terry Merchant, Tommy Merchant, 14 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and faithful dog "Tink". Funeral services will be held Monday, December 17, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at the Hamilton Baptist Church, Robertsdale, Alabama. A visitation will be held one prior to the service from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Robertsdale, Alabama.
