Ben Charles Reeh, 83, passed away at his home in Needville Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born July 19, 1938 in Rosenberg to Alvin Edward Reeh and Hilda Zwahr Reeh. Ben was a member of First Baptist Church in Needville, where he served as a deacon and an elder. He was also a member of the Rosenberg Masonic Lodge. Ben was a farmer and rancher while working as a carpenter by trade until he was employed at Witco Chemical Company. He worked as a foreman there until his retirement. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his family at "the fish camp" in Sargent fishing and watching the sun go down. When he wasn't fishing, he loved to hunt with his grandsons. His favorite past times were watching old westerns, reading Louis Lamour books, and learning new things on Tic Tock. Survivors include his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Grace Schrade Reeh; 2 daughters, Sheri Sawyer and husband, Trey, Robyn Reeh; brother, Ernst Alvin Reeh; 5 grandchildren, Ashley Grace Soape, Lauren Elizabeth Sawyer, Michael Blake Gilbert, Charles Logan Gilbert, Slade Edward Gilbert; 4 great-grandchildren, Darby Grace Sawyer, Morgan Elizabeth Soape, Keegan Trey Sawyer, and Reid Charles Soape; along with a host of other loving family members and friends. Ben was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 17, 2021, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home, with Pastor Jeff Kluttz officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Tuesday, November 16, 2021, form 5-7 P.M. in the Chapel at Davis Greenlawn Funeral Home.
