Herald Coaster, December 11, 2001: Funeral services for Hilda Zwahr Reeh, 88, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, of Needville, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel in Rosenberg, with interment following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg. The Rev. George Kuebler will officiate the services. Pallbearers are Scott Reeh, Trey Sawyer, Joe Mask, Scott McElrath, Walter "Diz" Ansel, George Zwahr, Clyde Raesner, and Bobby Kunz. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Brent and Lawrence Zwahr. Visitation begins at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Chapel, 3900 B.F. Terry Blvd., FM 2218 at Highway 59, in Rosenberg. Hilda was born April 16, 1913 in Rosenberg to Carl Ernst Zwahr Jr. and Caroline Bertha Seiler Zwahr, and she passed away Dec. 9, 2001 in Houston. She was a member of Immanuel United Church of Christ in Needville. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin E. Reeh; her parents, Carl and Caroline Zwahr; her sister, Louise Buchanan; and her brothers, Ben H. Zwahr. She is survived by her sons, Ben Charles Reeh and his wife, Mary Grace, of Needville and Ernest Alvin Reeh and his wife, Sue Ellen, of Weimar; a sister, Elsie Zwahr Robinson of San Antonio; grandchildren, Sheri Sawyer and her husband, Trey, of Needville, Robyn Reeh of Needville, Scott Reeh and his wife, Becky, of Needville, and Julie Mask and her husband, Joe, of Wharton; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Lauren Sawyer of Needville, Blake, Logan, and Slade Gilbert of Needville, and Austin and Tori Reeh of Needville; and other relatives; and many friends. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Heart Association.
