Bio
Marie Dick, the daughter of Ertman and Suzanna (Blinn) Penner, was born near Henderson, Nebraska, on November 8, 1897, and passed away at Aurora, Nebraska, on July 27, 1991, at the age of 93 years, 8 months, and 19 days. She was raised in Hamilton County, and attended District #2, country school. On October 16, 1921, she was united in marriage to Frank Dick, at Stockham. They farmed in Hamilton County, and upon retirement they moved into Hampton. Frank preceded her in death on June 28, 1976. Marie was a member of the Bethesda Mennonite Church at Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 brothers, Ed and Jake Penner; 4 sisters, Anna Dick, Susie Goertzen, Elizabeth Penner, and Kathryn Janzen. Those who remain to cherish her memory are her sister, Helen George of Sutton; 2 sisters-in-law, Vernita Penner of Hampton, and Marie Kliewer of Henderson; nieces and nephews, and one cousin, Mrs. Quiring of Henderson, and many friends.
