Rosenberg Herald, September 11, 1936: It is with great sorrow that we chronicle the death of Mrs. Della Drake, nee Kainer, of Chicago Illinois, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kainer of Rosenberg. Mrs. Drake died Saturday, August 29, at the age of 29 years, 10 months, and 16 days. She lived in Rosenberg for several years before she made her home in Chicago. She had many friends in both places and her sudden death brought great grief to all. Deceased is survived by her small daughter, Shirley Eileen; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Kainer of Rosenberg; two brothers, Henry and Bill of Rosenberg; one step-brother, L.E. Mueller, also of Rosenberg; two step-sisters, Mrs. Emil Nesestra of Flatonia and Mrs. A.G. Luedeke of Rosenberg. The funeral was held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church of Rosenberg at 3:30 Wednesday afternoon. Father Jerome Tydlacka officiated at the ceremony. Burial took place at the Catholic Cemetery.
