The Leon Journal-Reporter 10 Oct 1907, Thursday Page 1 Leon, lowa Margaret Jane Richard The eldest child of Eugene J. Richard now located near Camp, Okla., was born in Warren Co. Ia., March 15, 1868, and lived there until she was 13 years of age when she moved wiah her parents to Decatur Co. lowa, near Leon. She was married to Frank E. Jenree in the year 1885. To this union was born two children, H. D. and Julia E. who still survive her and were at her bedside during her sickness. She was afterwards married to Thos. Patterson who departed this life April 11, 1900. She with her two children moved to Van Wert the following year, where she resided until her death which occurred Oct. 5th. She was 39 years, 6 months and 20 days old. Sister Patterson gave expression on her dying bed that she had peace with her God and was prepared to die. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. S. Samson after which the remains were interred in the Van Wert cemetery. Contributor: Small Town Girl
