Civil War Veteran - information from 1910 Census ~~~~~~~~ The Hooker Advance Hooker, Oklahoma 06 Dec 1918, Friday Page 1 OBITUARY Eugene Theodore Richard the subject of this sketch was born in Dark County, Ohio, on May 20, 1840 and died at his home in Hooker Nov. 30, 1918 at 1:35 a. m. being 78 years, 6 months, 10 days old. At the age of 4 years he came with his parents to Missouri and afterwards to Iowa where his father homesteaded and lived in different parts of Iowa until March 3, 1867. He was united in marriage to Louisa Jane Lee to which union were born six children Delmer dying in infancy, Margaret Jane dying Oct. 13, 1907, Elizabeth dying June 16, 1918, the other three children surviving Allie Murry of Weldon, Iowa, G. E. and T. J. of Hooker. He enlisted in the Civil War in 1861 and served three years, 28 days. He was a member of the I. O. O. F. and A. F. and A. M. and G. A. R.
