He married Franzica Zeiner on April 29, 1873 in Frelsburg, Colorado County, TX. They were living there when they were enumerated on June 2, 1880. Albert was 36 and born in Botweis, which may be "Ceské Budejovice is the capital city of South Bohemia in what is now the southern Czech Republic. His wife Franziska was 30 and said she was born in Landskrom, which is probably "Lanškroun, a town in the Ústí nad Orlicí District in the Pardubice Region of what is now the Czech Republic. They had two children, Joseph, age five, and Maria, age four. Both born in Texas. On 11 June 1900, Albert and wife Frances were in Bastrop County, Texas where they apparently remained until their death. Date of death is from information in the probate of his will. Since his wife is not mentioned, it is assumed that she is dead at the time. Included in the will is his daughter Mary Kahanek, wife of Frank Kahanek. She received one dollar. Next mentioned are his grandchildren: Martha, Louise, and Albert, son and daughters of Rosa Barta [and his son Joseph "Joe" Barta]. Each received one dollar. Last mentioned is son Chas. A. Barta who received the remainder and residue of the estate. His exact burial location is not known but assumed to be in Oak Hill where his son Charles Barta was buried.
