Bio
A mass of Christian burial was held at Calvary Hill Cemetery North Chapel for Joy L. Carter Slovak, age 80, of McKinney, Texas who passed away August 24, 2021. Interment followed at Calvary Hill Cemetery. Joy was born April 25, 1941 in Dallas, Texas to Doris Murphy Carter and Joseph Earl Carter. She was a wonderful lady who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She was survived by three sons, one daughter, eleven grandchildren, and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Carter and Doris Carter; her husband, Marvin Slovak, Sr.; her daughter, Jill Slovak; and her granddaughter, Elizabeth Slovak.
