Mildred and E.J. lived in Houston until 1999 when they moved into their new home between Ammannsville and Dubina. Mildred loved to dance, attend party dances and dinner parties. She enjoyed traveling which included all over the United States, 15 cruises and Europe, Hawaii, Bahamas, Mexico, Canada, Jamaica, Alaska and the Virgin Islands. E.J . said that Mildred would "sparkle" on these trips and parties. She became an avid Houston Astros fan and also loved to watch the Texans play. Mildred sang beautifully. Many times she would sing with the band and even on the cruise trips. Mildred loved her family and everyone who met her would immediately love her. She was a loving beautiful person. Mildred worked at Texaco in data processing until the babies came and then she became a full-time mother and homemaker. She gave them unconditional love and was honored on Mother's Day every year. She also was a wonderful grandmother. After the children were grown, she became an Avon sales representative. She made the President's Club eight times due to high volume of sales. She treated her customers like her best friends and helped them buy the products best suited to their needs. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
