Marilyn Agnes Adamcik June 2, 1934 - May 8, 2025 Marilyn Agnes (Kainer) Adamcik, 90, of Ammannsville, Texas, passed away peacefully on May 8, 2025. She was born on June 2, 1934, in Middle Creek near High Hill, Texas, to the late Hulda (Heinrich) and Alfred Kainer. Marilyn was the second of six children. She was a member of Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hostyn, Texas. On June 2, 1957, Marilyn married the love of her life, Jerry Adamcik. During their 43-year marriage, Marilyn raised four sons in Houston, Texas. After Jerry retired, they moved to their country home in Ammannsville, Texas. Marilyn was a proud graduate of Schulenburg High School and Durham's Business College in San Antonio, Texas. Upon graduation, she worked in various roles at Kelly Services, The Mundy Companies, and Kainer Export Crating, Inc. Marilyn was a dedicated Christian wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many through her social activities, including the P.O.L.K.A. Club of America, Catholic Daughters, Czech Heritage Society, Schulenburg Garden Club, Dinner Club and a Knights of Columbus widow. Marilyn most enjoyed dancing, dinner parties, and hosting her friends to play dominoes, chicken foot, and card games at her home on the farm. Marilyn is survived by her sons, Steve Adamcik (Sheryl); Andrew Adamcik (CloAnn); Michael Adamcik (Laurie); and Kennard Adamcik (Sarah); grandchildren, Clifton Adamcik, Stacie Tafolla (Blaine), Austen Adamcik (Whitney), Veronica Gillenwater (Scott), Ashlyn Snikeris (Jordy), Lauren Ragan (Zack), Tyler Adamcik, and Ryan Adamcik; great grandchildren, Andrew, Olivia, Addison, Owen, William, Adaline, and Sophia; sister, Estella Kobza (Gerald); brother, Thomas Kainer (Vicky); sisters-in-law, Mae Kainer and Carolyn Kainer; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and Godchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Jerry Adamcik; parents, Alfred and Hulda Kainer; brothers Lawrence Kainer and Wilbert Kainer; sister Mildred Bayer; and two infant brothers, Michael and Alfred Kainer. Mass of Christian burial for Marilyn Agnes Adamcik will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church (St. Mary's) in High Hill, Texas. The family will receive friends at 9:00 a.m., with the rosary to be recited at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Queen of the Holy Rosary Catholic Cemetery, Hostyn, Texas. Memorial contributions can be made to the Hostyn Building Fund for the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church Reconstruction project. Marilyn's family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the loving and compassionate care provided by the nursing staff at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Center, Hospice of South Texas, Sheri Grohmann and Stephanie Love. May she rest in the eternal love of Jesus Christ.
