Obituary. Stephanie Kasik Clarkson - Stephanie Kasik, 98, of Clarkson and formerly of Leigh, died Tuesday at Colonial Manor in Clarkson. Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Leigh with Rev. Edward Hunkeler officiating. Burial is in the parish cemetery. Visitation is after 2 p.m. today at the Miller Funeral Home in Clarkson and Friday prior to service time at the church. A public rosary will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the funeral home. Mrs. Kasik was born Aug. 5, 1888, in Romerstadt, Austria, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Hauk: She attended schools in Austria, came to the United States in 1911 settling in the Omaha area, and was educated in the English language. She married James Kasik April 24, 1921, in Leigh. Mrs. Kasik lived on a farm seven miles south of Leigh until 1973 when she moved to Colonial Manor in Clarkson. She is survived by one son, Donald of rural Leigh; four daughters, Marcella (Mrs. Robert) Strehle of Decatur, Ala., Ludmilla (Mrs. Bart) Harlan of Van Nuys, Calif., Josephine (Mrs. Joseph) Dieter of Omaha and Stephanie Jedlicka of Norfolk; 21 grandchildren; and 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in December 1962, seven brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren.
