Marion served in 351st Inf., 88th Div. during World War 1. Marion's World War I draft registration lists his date of birth as 24 Aug 1895. Records conflict as to whether Marion was born in Wapello or Davis County. It is known that his family lived in Davis County at and around the time of his birth.
