Bio

Allen J. Jarosek, 83, of Granger, Texas died Monday, Nov. 12, 2007 at Granger Villa Nursing Home. Visitation will beheld from 6-8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14, at Providence Funeral Home Chapel. Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, Nov. 15, at S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church with Father Joseph Nisari officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in Granger. Allen Joe Jarosek was born on Jan. 20, 1924 in Thrall, to Joe V. and Hattie (Polasek) Jarosek. He proudly served his country in World War II in the United States Army. Allen married Georgie Zrubek in Granger, on Oct. 8, 1946 and this marriage was blessed with three sons and a daughter. Allen was a member of S.S. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Church, a charter member of the Knights of Columbus #4457 for 50 years, a member of the K.J.T. and the American Legion. He spent his life farming and raising his family. Allen enjoyed the outdoors and just spending time on the tractor, gardening, picking pecans or just tending to the cattle or the hogs when he had them. He loved the simple things in life and he enjoyed listening to Czech music. Allen's greatest joy was his family, and he loved the times spent with them. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Allen's sense of humor, pride in his work and love for his family will be a gift his family will always remember. He will be greatly missed by his many loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Helen Meyer; a brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Lydia Jarosek; brothers-in-law, Freddie Coffman and Billy Wernli; and nephew, Chris Jarosek. Allen is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Georgie Zrubek Jarosek; sons, Kenneth Jarosek and wife Donna, Gregory Jarosek, and Kelly Jarosek and fiancé Rene Judkin; daughter, Carolyn Simpson, all of Granger; grandchildren, Todd Simpson and wife Julie of Pflugerville, Jeffrey Jarosek and wife Amy of Georgetown, Clinton Jarosek of Granger, and Allison Leszcynski and husband Brian of Hutto; great-grandchildren, Timothy Jarosek, Cameron Bartosh, Gage Leszcynski, Noah Leszcynski, Haley Simpson, Addison Simpson, and Keley Jarosek; brothers, J. C. Jarosek and wife Ruth of Waco, Edmond Jarosek and wife Bernice of Houston, and John Jarosek and wife June of Austin; sisters, Hattie Coffman and fiancé Elvie Howell of San Juan, Frances Wernli of Irving,and Barbara Sutton and husband of Monte of Taylor; brother-in-law, Willie Meyer of Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephew and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jeffery Jarosek, Clinton Jarosek, Timothy Jarosek, Todd Simpson, Brian Leszcynski, Johnnie Polasek, Herb Hanson, and Daniel Jarosek. Memorials may be made to S.S.
