Bio

Completed her earthly mission at age 77. Born in Hinckley, Utah. Daughter of Vernon and Mardella Carter Parry. Married Irving Dorr Johnson June 10, 1946 in Fredonia, Arizona. Marriage solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. Married John Kenneth Jakeman June 10, 2006 in Pleasant Grove, Utah, after having known each other as children. Grew up in Pleasant Grove. Attended school there. Enjoyed teaching art classes in her home. Family share memories of garden parties and mother as the ultimate homemaker. With Irving, served as Primary and Sunday School Presidents at the American Fork Training School for several years for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Served faithfully in many Church callings during her life. With Ken, served as Ward Mission Leaders. Survived by husband Ken; six children: Geraldine Marie Johnson, Diane Galetka, Linda (Floyd) Clark, Darlene (LaMar) Pace, Rosemary Kiggins, and Irving Dorr Johnson II; 21 grandchildren; 48 greatgrandchildren; stepchildren: Gloria (Joe) Galloway, Larry (Kathy) Hanks, Glen (Colleen) Jakeman, Ken (Janice) Jakeman, and numerous step- grandchildren. Beside her first husband Irving in 1986, three grandchildren and a stepson, Gregory Hanks, predeceased Geraldine. Service held Thursday, November 8, 2007 in Pleasant Grove, Utah.
