Bio
Diane (Galetka) Carter, 61, of Lehi, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born March 31, 1949 in Provo, Utah, to Irving and Geraldine Johnson. She married Stanley Galetka Jr. February 8, 1969; he passed away October 21, 2004. She married Kendall Carter on April 16, 2009. Diane was a very talented seamstress and loved making clothes, quilts and gowns for her kids and grandkids. She worked for Pykett's for over 20 years. She currently worked at Cabelas and that is where she met and married Kendall. She loved to go hiking, camping and fishing with her family. She loved her grandkids, always snagging them for hugs and kisses. She is survived by her husband, Kendall; three daughters: Michelle (Kent) Ashton, Eliza (Kent) Toone, and Danielle (Greg) Seybold; three stepsons: Douglas (Tami) Carter, Mike (Brooke) Carter and Chad Carter; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandson; four sisters: Marie Johnson, Linda Clark, Darlene Pace and Rosemary Kiggins; and one brother, Irving Johnson Jr. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, December 7, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lehi East Stake Center, 851 North 1200 East, Lehi. A viewing will be held on Monday, December 6, 2010 from 6-8 p.m. in the Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and at the church one hour prior to services on Monday. Interment will be in the Lehi City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at the Huntsman Cancer Institute and Hospital for their loving care of Diane.
