Bio
Marvin Emil Belz ("Bud"), 79, of Hockley, TX, passed away on May 7th, 2021. Marvin was born in Houston, TX on June 10, 1941 to the late Emil Walter Belz and Olga Matilda Harms Belz. He graduated from Cy Fair High School in 1959. He married Patricia Ann Ferguson on December 14, 1962 and they were married for nearly twenty years. He then married Sharon Wisnowksi on July 15,1983; they were married for 19 years. Marvin worked as a Team Leader in the Shipping Department for General Electric for 42 years, until he retired in 2001. Marvin enjoyed gardening and giving away the fruits of his labor to family and friends. When Marvin wasn't in his garden, he would be watching Houston sports teams and following the Cy Fair Bobcats football games. Marvin is survived by his 4 children, Ricky Lee Belz, Diana Mae Johnson, Joanna Belz-Smith, and Jason Belz. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren, Melissa Walker, Joshua Belz, Valerie Zewald, Hannah Smith, Dylan Belz, and Austin Smith, as well as his 2 great grandchildren, Emilee Walker and Cirilla Emrick. Marvin is also survived by his sisters, Marjorie Marcaurele and Nelda Wilson, as well as his brother, David Belz. He is also survived by his nephews, Chris Marcaurele and Walter Garrett, and niece, Wanda Stoumbos, and his treasured dog, Dottie. Marvin is preceded in death by his father, Emil Walter Belz and his mother, Olga Matilda Harms Belz. He is also preceded in death by his sisters, Nadine Pauline Belz, Carol Ann Belz, and Fayrene Mary Belz, as well as his grandson, Zachery Craig Smith, and his beloved dog, Itsy. Jason Belz, Joshua Belz, Dylan Belz, Austin Smith, Chris Marcaurele, and Doug Smith will serve as pallbearers.
