OBITUARY FROM THE AUSTIN AMERICAN-STATESMAN: Sister Antonia Sehon, O.P. Sister Antonia Sehon, O.P., born August 18, 1906, in Osterrist, Austria, died August 30, 1994. Sister entered the Dominican Sisters of Houston, Texas, on September 16, 1926. In 1930, Sister Antonia began her loving service as a minister to her sisters. She served as a minister to the sisters in the Houston, Beaumont and Austin dioceses. Among the many places she served was Newman Hall of Austin, Texas, St. Pius X High School, Dominican College and St. Agnes Academy of Houston, Texas, in 1980, she retired from her active ministry to live at St. Dominic Villa and continue serving the sisters and her loved ones through her continual prayers. Sister Antonia is the daughter of the late Conrad and Rose Tallfaus Sehon. Sister Antonia is survived by her sisters, Sister Conrad Sehon, O.P., of Houston, Ida Gottschalk of Temple, Texas, and Della Pinkert of Levelland, Texas, brothers, Frank Sehon of Wolfforth, Texas, and John Sehon of Lott, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews. Vespers, 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 31, 1994, at St. Dominic Villa, 6504 Almeda Road, Houston, Texas. Mass of Christian Burial, 1:00 P.M. Thursday, September 1, 1994, also at St. Dominic Villa. Celebrant Rev. Thomas Sheehan, O.P. Rite of Christian Burial: Garden of Gethsemane. In lieu of the usual remembrances, donations may be made to St. Dominic.
