Bio

Viola Berney, 75, of Grand Island passed away on April 2, 2021. Viola was born on January 16, 1946 at Burwell, NE, daughter of Loyd and Betty (Tiff) Burson. She grew up near Burwell where she received her education. On July 30, 1966 she was united in marriage to Raymond Berney. This union was blessed with two sons, Jeremy and Patrick. Viola was a wonderful cook and fed many in the community of Ord where she was the cook at the Club. She is survived by her son, Jeremy of California; brother, Robert Burson of Polk, NE; sisters Shirley Jones of Burwell; Marjorie Davis of Colorado and Norma Schreier of Burwell; along with many nieces and nephews. Viola was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Patrick Berney; brothers, Gerald Burson, Henry Burson, and Daniel Burson.
