Daniel Lee Burson, 63, of Burwell, Nebraska died April 23, 2018 at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord, Nebraska. Funeral services will be Saturday April 28, 2018 at the United Methodist Church in Burwell. Burial will be in Banner Cemetery in Burwell. Visitation will be Friday from 5 –7 p.m. at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell. Dan was born December 12, 1954 in Garfield County, Nebraska to Loyd and Betty (Tiff) Burson. Dan attended school through the eight grade. Dan was a rancher his entire life. He was strong willed and a loving and caring father and uncle. Dan is survived by two children, Daisy Burson and John Burson both of Ord, Nebraska. Six brothers and sisters, Viola Berney of Grand Island, Nebraska, Norma Schreier of Burwell, Nebraska, Henry and Rosina Burson of Burwell, Nebraska, Marjorie and Greg Davis of Security, Colorado, Robert Burson of Missouri and Shirley Jones of Burwell, Nebraska and nieces and nephews and a friend Judy Botts. Dan was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Susan Burson and a brother Gerald Burson.
