Linda Gay Rockey, 79, passed away Monday, March 8, 2021 in Weatherford, Texas. Linda was born on December 20, 1941 in Wichita Falls, Texas to Willie D. Preston and Patsy Ruth Haynes. Linda married Daniel Ray “D.R.” Rockey on August 16, 1958 in Shamrock, Texas. She was a member of Christian Missions Church in Jacksboro and had worked at the nursing home in Jacksboro for many years. Linda is preceded in death by her husband, D.R. Rockey; parents; daughter, Debra Rockey; son, Danny Rockey; siblings, Deanna Atwood, Robert Preston, Odus Preston, Johnny Preston, Willie Preston, Karen Riddle, Debra Leatherwood, Vina Kincaid, and Alva Dee Preston. She is survived today by her daughters, Ronda Huskey and Tammy Rockey; daughter-in-law, Pam Rockey; siblings, Lounetta Damron and Thomas Preston; granddaughter Tabitha Kincaid; and 42 grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with a host of family and friends.
